US President Donald Trump said on Monday that he is expecting the US-Ukraine agreement to be signed shortly to sharing Ukraine’s critical minerals.

Trump also told reporters during a meeting of the Council of Ministers at the White House that the United States is talking to Ukraine about the possibility of US companies taking over Ukrainian power plants.

A US delegation met with Ukrainian officials on Sunday and Russian officials on Monday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The talks focused mainly on the ceasefire in the Black Sea, but Trump said other issues would be raised as he was pushing to stop Russia’s three -year war against Ukraine.

“We’re talking about territorial issues right now. We’re talking about the boundaries, we are talking about energy, the property of power plants. Some say that the United States should be owners of the power station … because we have the know -how,” he said.

Greenland

The US president also said that his government is facing people in Greenland who want something to happen, referring to his repeated calls for the US to annex the US semi -autonomous territory.

“I think Greenland will be something that may be in our future,” Trump said.

His statements took place as Greenland’s leaders criticized the journey of a high -profile US delegation in Greenland led by Jusa Vance, wife of Vice President Jay Di Vance this week.

Duties

In the meantime, Trump also said he would announce in the near future duty on cars, aluminum and medicinal products.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said the United States would need all these products if there are problems, including wars. “Duties will keep US taxes at low levels.”

Education

In the matter of education, Trump said that the time would not be late for the states to run education. It is recalled that Trump has recently signed a decree on gradual abolition of the Ministry of Education.

Interest rates

Trump reiterated his call to the US Federal Bank (FED) to reduce interest rates as he continues to push the central bank for its monetary policy.

“In general, prices are falling and energy prices are falling and I hope the Fed will reduce interest rates,” Trump said.
