The Holy Archdiocese of Australia wishes to inform its Christian crew and the broader audience on the re-emergence of fake e-mail accounts, as well as fake profiles/pages on Facebook Social Networking, His Eminence Archbishop Australia Makarios.
Concerning social media, it is clarified that His Holiness Makarios has a single account on Instagram (www.instagram.com/archbishop_makarios/), and no one on Facebook. Consequently, Facebook users are kindly requested to ignore profiles or pages carrying details by Archbishop Australia, and apart from any interaction with them, and in particular from providing their personal data.
Also, potential recipients of emails from accounts bearing the name and title of His Eminence are requested as they evaluate the content of the messages, while at the same time checking the sender’s email address.
