Danger of trade war, Greenland, Ukraine: US Secretary of State Marko Rubio today moves to Brussels – where he will attend the NATO member states tomorrow and Friday in the US -based US -based Ministers.

The transmitter appointment is also made after the scandal that broke out when The Atlantic magazine editor was included in a list of participants in a secret conversation where high -ranking US officials were discussing war plans.

In the talks released by the magazine, Jay Di Vans accused Europeans of wanting to exploit US military operations.

Duties, Greenland and Ukraine on Rubio’s agenda

Rubio’s visit begins the day when the US president will announce the new duties that Washington is going to impose even on its traditional allies.

At the same time, Trump is increasing pressure on Europeans, inviting them to spend more money on their defense and to take more responsibility in the war in Ukraine, despite the fact that it has excluded them from immediate negotiations between Ukrainians and Americans on the one hand and Russians and Americans on the other.

In Brussels, the US Secretary of State is expected to refer to “the increase in allied investment in defense and the establishment of a constant peace in Ukraine,” the State Department said.

Rubio “will also refer to the common threat of China for the Euro-Atlantic Alliance and the Alliance of the Indian-Pacific region” during his meeting with representatives of Asian countries, as well as in preparations for the NATO summit in Hague.

Except for Canada, whom Trump often treats as “the 51st US State”, no NATO member country seems to be as much as the US president’s target as Denmark.

Rubio will have the opportunity, according to the Danish Foreign Ministry, to meet with his Danish counterpart Lars Locke Rasmussen, amid high tension between Copenhagen and Washington on the occasion of Greenland, which Trump wants to acquire.

Moreover, talks in NATO take about a month after the US president surprised the Europeans by humiliating his Ukrainian counterpart Volodimir Zelenski during their meeting at the White House.

The US stance has prompted Europeans to review Washington’s commitment to security in Epirus, with Germany adopting a huge investment plan in which high defense spending is provided.

After three years of war between Russia and Ukraine, Trump aspires to end conflict and therefore broke the diplomatic isolation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. But the negotiations are delayed.
