Probably traveling abroad is a pleasant interruption from harsh reality inside the country for the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Especially when in his country, beyond the war and other unpleasant events, which reinforce the dissatisfaction against him. The latest incident is the “Israeli Well” with two of his advisers being arrested accused of bribery by the rich Emirates.

Common passion the challenge

But the countries that Netanyahu can visit fearlessly are not so many, with an international arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court pending against him. In this sense, his four -day stay in Budapest, at the invitation of Hungary Prime Minister Victor Orban, was a move of high symbolism. He gave the guest the opportunity to show that he is not as isolated internationally. For the host he was one of the cases, who loves to show that he wants to stand out among the 27 EU and does not count international institutions and rules. He also announced that he intends to “get” his country permanently from the jurisdiction of the ICC. For Europeans it was an unpleasant feeling of seeing the politician, who likes to destroy unanimity within the EU to host a counterpart, who themselves prefer to make a gentle criticism if they do not completely avoid it, but at present they would prefer not to see him.

Invitation from the “Planetary”

The fact that Netanyahu, as the information says, will travel to Washington after Budapest, after a phone call they made together with Orban to Trump and the latter’s invitation comes to remind us that we are in a world of “disorder” and overturns, very different. Some were afraid of it, some were waiting for it, some were now awakened by lethargy.

It is a world where Austarchic leaders maintain and are maintained by “selective friendships”, now having a great trump that they can bet on the favor of a weird “planet”. Netanyahu, Erdogan, Orban, to some extent, and Putin like each other and all have the sympathy of Trump. The initiatives they take, whether it is the breaking of the truce in Gaza, the arrest of Imamoglou in Turkey, or the autonomous consultations with Moscow always know the red -haired politician. The transactions between them are favored by the common spirit, which sees politics primarily as a “take” with the aim of mutual profit. International law, humanism, democratic rights are left over in these conciliations.

Playing without rules

Will Orban’s support of Netanyahu’s support in the vision of displacing the Palestinians in a ghost country in the Horn of Africa? Will Israel be cheaply saved from Trump’s “DIAMO-Mania”? Will the Erdogan regime rely on US backs? Will Putin guarantee a peace based on “investment” plans?

In a game without rules it is difficult to make predictions. But most of all it is naive to invoke the rules against those who consider them outdated decoration.

Europeans are struggling to save their “unity” and their carmaker from defense positions and tools that exist only in their fantasy manuals. The logic of bilateral or triangular cohabitation consonants on the basis of a temporary interest, imposed by Trump and his friends is not treated with either ethics, nor with the “how nice we once had”. Nor, of course, with an alien attitude that regresses between lionesses and goodies.
