At the Lega Congress in Florence, the French far -right leader intervened through video reconstruction
At the Lega Conference, which is being held in Florence, Marin Lepen was intervened via a video, while the far right is organizing a gathering of support for its head this afternoon.
Lepen referred to her recent conviction in France, which provides for her political rights deprivation and even compared her “struggle” and her lineup with Martin Luther King’s struggles.
“The violence of this condemnation is based on a violation because we have criticized European institutions. Consequently, we made use of our sovereignty and the right to self -determination. Our struggle, however, will be peaceful and democratic, and our example is offered by Martin Luther King, ”he said.
The heavy conviction of Lepen and the serious possibility of not being able to be candidate in the 2027 presidential election – as the court deprived her of the right to be elected for five years – has sharpened the tension in France.
The Paris Court of Appeal has to decide until the summer of 2026 on Lepen’s fate, three times a candidate in the presidential election, considered a favorite for 2027.
