Sarah, who previously visited Turkey in February, will travel to the United Arab Emirates to his second destination in Gulf Country
Syrian President Ahmed al -Sarah will pay his first visit to the United Arab Emirates, and will also visit Turkey next week, the Syrian Foreign Ministry announced Sunday night, as the Syrian president continues to gather support for his new government.
Sarah, who previously visited Turkey in February will travel to the United Arab Emirates to its second destination in a Gulf country after traveling to Saudi Arabia in February on its first trip abroad after taking over the presidency in January.
The Syrian president and other members of the new Syrian government are working to strengthen ties with both Arab countries and Western countries after overthrowing Bashar al-Assad’s regime last December by a coalition led by Hayat Tahrir Al-Sam (HTS).
Sarah and officials ask for the Complete lifting sanctions in Syria.
The country needs desperately relaxing sanctions to restart an economy destroyed by almost 14 years of war, during which the US, the United Kingdom and the EU have imposed heavy sanctions on persons, businesses and entire sectors of the Syrian economy in an effort to push the former president.
