A shocking video from Odessa has gone viral in recent hours, showing citizens fortifying the city to the music of Bon Jovi.
The video shows young children, teenagers and the elderly digging the beach, filling sacks with sand and transporting them to places in the city where there is a need to set up roadblocks in view of a possible advance of Russian forces.
In fact, the pictures also show a young man with drums, who inspires the citizens, while playing Bon Jovi’s song “It’s my life” on the percussion.

The choice of the song is obviously not accidental since the lyrics are indicative of the situation faced by the Ukrainians and their morale:
“This is not a song for those who have a broken heart
No silent prayers for faith departed
And I will not be just a person in the crowd
You will hear my voice when I shout it out loud
It is my life
It’s now or never
But I will not live forever
I just want to live as long as I live
(It is my life)”.
