Son sheriff was, as the BBC reports, the 20 -year -old perpetrator of the armed attack at a University of Florida, who claimed the lives of two people.

The student – whose safety has verified that he is the son of a woman working as a deputy sheriff – opened fire near the student union building.

The two people who were killed in an attack on the campus in Talahasi were not students, according to officials who spoke at an afternoon press conference.

Sheriff Walter McNeil of Leon County said the perpetrator was a 20 -year -old man whom the authorities were injured by fire after not obeying orders for delivery.

The 20 -year -old reportedly had access to one of his mother’s weapons.

According to the testimonies of students broadcast by the newspaper Tallahassee Democrat, about ten shots were heard. Officers have arrested a suspect while investigating the facilities for any other armed people.

“It’s a shame … it’s horrible to happen such things,” US President Donald Trump told reporters, announcing that he had been informed of shootings at a University of Florida.

Authorities have appealed to students and teaching staff to seek safe haven until the police operation was completed.
