“The president is upset. His patience is running out. He wants to do what is right for the world,” said White House spokesman Carolin Levit
A new Washington attack on Wednesday on the Ukrainian side, as Russia is almost passing by.
Volodimir Zelenski is moving in the wrong direction in the peace talks, White House spokesman Caroline Levit said Wednesday.
US President Donald Trump is upset At the pace of talks on ending the war in Ukraine, and President Volodimir Zelenski goes in the wrong direction in terms of negotiations, he said.
“The president is upset. His patience is exhausted. He wants to do what is right for the world. He wants to see peace. He wants to see the murders stop, but the two sides of the war need to be willing to do so” Levit typically told reporters at the White House.
And unfortunately, he added, President Zelenski seems to be moving in the wrong direction.
Levit also made it clear that there would be no unilateral duties against China.
Earlier, United States President Donald Trump said in a post on the Truth Social platform that the US is “very close to an agreement” on the war in Ukraine.
In the same post, Donald Trump criticized Volodimir Zelenski for his statements that Ukraine would not recognize the Russian occupation of Crimea, describing his reference provocative and detrimental to peace negotiations with Russia.
“This statement is very detrimental to peace negotiations with Russia,” Trump wrote in a post on social media. He argued that Crimea was lost for years “and is not even a point of debate”.
“No one is asking Zelenski to recognize Crimea as Russian territory, but if he wants it back, because they didn’t fight for her eleven years ago, when he surrendered to Russia without even falling a bullet?” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
