The European Commission has published a call for proposals to support independent reporting on European Union (EU) issues by pan -European media, with a budget of € 13.5 million.

In its second consecutive year, the invitation aims to enhance the quantity, quality and impact of reporting on EU issues in as many languages ​​and Member States as possible. Divided into three themes: EUR 7.5 million is available to fund a plan to increase the coverage and availability of audiovisual news on EU issues from a European perspective; € 3 million are available for a proposal for the development of international audiovisual media in EU countries where the EU countries, where the media are public and public media, The content has room for improvement, with the primary objective of setting up or maintaining a news service in Hungarian; an additional EUR 3 million is available for EU reports on the Internet to improve access to reliable online information. The latest theme concerns two projects that will provide digital news services, using innovative forms and dissemination strategies.

The deadline for submitting applications expires on 13 June. Interested media organizations and developers can apply for more than one theme. The grant agreements are expected to be signed in September for projects that will begin to be implemented in October 2025.

The call for proposals is part of the multimedia actions, which fund general information and news actions and EU general programs for the public from a European perspective.
