About three months after the fall of a three -ton truck in a hole in Yashio, Japan, when suddenly a central road retreated, rescuers today managed to retrieve the 74 -year -old driver’s corpse.

Last January, a hole that suddenly opened the heavy vehicle in the middle of the road with its elderly driver. Although initially rescuers initially heard the driver respond to their calls, after about 30 hours they lost contact with him.

After extensive preparations for the security of the workshops, including the construction of an underground journey, rescuers – wearing helmets and protective costumes – today managed to reach the point and retrieve the body while the hole was growing.

Experts report that the huge hole caused by the erosion of drainage pipes. Unstable territory and empty space underneath the rescue, while the authorities appealed to approximately 1.2 million inhabitants to temporarily restrict water use, especially for activities such as shower and washing clothes to reduce the flow of sewage in the area.

Five families living in the surrounding area were invited to leave their homes, while more than 100 residents living within a 50 -meter radius of the hole had already moved in the week when the incident occurred.

This incident is a warning bell on the aged infrastructure in Japan, where most of the main public infrastructure were built during the rapid economic growth of the 60s and 70s.
