The thriller is evolving the Polish elections, with Tzaskovsky and Navrotsky having a slight difference and everything judged in the second round of June 1st. The former prevailed in the big cities, the second in the countryside.
Battle of breasts to Poland in Poland between liberal Rafal Tzaskovsky and National Conservative Carol Navrotsky. The decision will be judged in the second round on June 1st.
The first round of presidential elections in Poland resulted in a marginal difference between the two top candidates Rafal Tzaskovsky and Carol Navrotsky. According to the State Election Commission, Liberal Tzaskovsky is slightly led by 31.4% against the right conservative Navrotsky, who received 29.5% of the vote. The polls had foreseen a much clearer lead for the first. The 53-year-old mayor of Warsaw is a candidate for the liberal-conservative, pro-European ruling citizen platform (PO) by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Rafal Tzaskovsky prevailed in the big cities with over 500,000 inhabitants and mainly in western and northern Poland. On the contrary, Navrotsky garnered more votes in the countryside, in small cities and in the eastern and southern Poland. It is a political split of the country, which seems to be stable since 1989.
Tusk: In the second round everything is at stake
“We have a lot of difficult jobs ahead of us,” Tzaskovsky said after the announcement of the first forecasts at night and added confidently: “We are in the final straight. We will win. ” His goals are a “strong Poland in the EU and NATO” as well as “good but equal” relationships with the US. He promised to push the government to implement its pre -election commitments: the abolition of the “medieval abortion law”, the restoration of the rule of law, the separation of the state and the church as well as the deregulation of the economy.
Prime Minister Tusk was placed on the X platform. “It starts the game that will judge everything,” he said, preparing the government faction for the election campaign until the second round in two weeks. “A hard battle for every vote. The next two weeks will judge the fate of our country. Not even a step back. “
Navrotsky warns of euro and immigrants
The discontent and frustration of the population for unfulfilled promises are increasing. On Sunday, about 60% of voters voted against the candidates of the government’s coalition parties.
The 42 -year -old National Conservative Historian Carol Navrotsky was obviously satisfied with his result. “I’m proud, I’m one of you, I’ll be your voice,” he shouted at a gathering at Gdansk. He argued before his supporters that he is an independent candidate, who, unlike Tzatsatskovsky “has no boss” and is not subject to party discipline. Indeed, Navrotsky is not a member of the nationalist right -wing law and justice (PIS), but his election campaign was organized and funded by Kacinsky’s party. His speeches move completely in the line of party ideology.
TVN Polish television station published a poll last night on voters’ preferences in the second round. According to the opinia24 poll Institute, in two weeks, 46% intends to vote for Tzatskovsky and 44% Navrotsky. 10% replied “I don’t know”. And it is precisely for this group of citizens in the next two weeks a harsh pre -election battle.
