‘The port has been included in the list of our goals’
Yemen’s Houthi rebels threatened to impose a “naval blockade” on the Israeli port of Haifa on Monday, in the form of retaliated Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.
“All companies whose ships are or are directed towards this port are informed through this announcement that the port (…) has been included in our list of goals,” spokesman Yaia Sharia.
The decision is “a reaction to the escalation of the brutal Israeli attack on our people and Gaza,” said a spokesman for the Iranian rebel.
He added that Houthi’s attacks on Israel will continue until the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip stop and the exclusion of the Palestinian enclave.
Last morning Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his goal is to take control of the entire Gaza Strip, where the Civil Protection Service said 91 people were killed during the day.
