It took ten days for the people to find out if there were any survivors from the bombing of the theater in Mariupol and only yesterday it was confirmed that 300 people lost their lives.
The images taken from inside the building show people covered in dust, clearly shocked but alive.
On March 16, a theater housing more than a thousand people was bombed in the besieged city of southern Ukraine.
Inside it were pregnant women.
Sky News reports today that in the theater with the 300 dead they had found shelter and the pregnant women who had been rescued from the maternity hospital bombed in Mariupol on March 9th.
A woman who lived next to the theater but escaped from the city before being bombed, tells Skynews: “I know that there were pregnant women who were brought from the maternity hospital that was bombed the previous days. They brought them to the theater because it was a big building and put these pregnant women with children in the actors’ dressing rooms. It was in this place that it was bombed. He was in the theater, right where he was hit. That’s what we know. “
She notes that there are now so many corpses in Mariupol, and body parts hanging in the trees.
