The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that anti -aircraft defense has dropped 105 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions over the night, 35 of which were heading to Moscow, which led to the temporary suspension of its airport operation.

The mayor of the Russian capital Sergei Sobyanin had spoken earlier today about 23 drones that were dismissed, clarifying in his Telegram account that emergencies have rushed to areas where debris has fallen.

From midnight on Wednesday until 05:30 on Thursday morning (local time and time in Greece) “anti -aircraft defense systems destroyed and intercept 105 Ukrainian drones”, of which 35 were heading to Moscow, the Russian ministry reported.

Following this attack, the central airports of the Russian capital – Seremetiev, Domodedovo and Vnukovo – temporarily interrupted their operation, the Russian Civil Protection Service Rosaviatsia said, noting that they are already re -operating.

Wednesday 27 drones were shot down as they headed to Moscow, according to Sobianin, while Russian anti -aircraft defense broke more than 300 Ukrainian drones in total.
