New 35-hour curfew in Kyiv from tonight

by

A new traffic ban will apply to Kyiv from tonight until Monday morning, announced today the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko.

“The military administration has decided to strengthen the curfew. It will last from 8.00 pm on Saturday until 7.00 am on Monday, March 28,” the mayor told the Telegram.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said its forces were continuing to defend Kyiv from Russian attacks, noting that Russian troops were struggling to “maintain the necessary fighting pace and achieve the ultimate goal of the war.”

In a statement, the ministry said Russian forces were facing challenges in replacing personnel and supplies, in part due to international sanctions.

However, airstrikes by Russian forces continued, the ministry added.

In the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, it was claimed that Ukrainian forces had destroyed eight Russian tanks, as well as three planes and three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
