The Israeli army announced on Saturday that it had killed Mohammed Sinuar, head of Hamas in Gaza on May 13, confirming what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday.

In fact, according to Times of Israel, the Air Force threw over 50 bombs in 30 seconds in the raid that killed him Mohammed Sinuar.

The air raid was targeted by a tunnel in a hospital in southern Gaza, from which they were killed besides the leader and two other Hamas executives.

“The terrorists were neutralized while operating in an underground center of administration and control under the European Hospital in Han Younes, intentionally endangering the civilian population inside and around the hospital,” the Israeli army said.

Mohammed Sinuar was the youngest brother of Yama Sinuar, the deceased leader of Hamas, and according to Israel played an important role in attacking Israel in October 2023.

He took over the organization’s reins after his brother’s death and his appointment marked his emergence to a key factor in decision -making in strategic planning and efforts to rebuild Hamas.

Hamas has not confirmed or denied his death.
