by

European countries were the first in the world to start the vaccination campaign against Covid-19. With the advance of immunization, the reopening of the economy began—with governments alternating between relaxing and tightening restrictive measures as new waves of the pandemic emerged.

Now, Covid-19 is back to worrying the continent. Countries like the United Kingdom are beginning to experience a new high in cases, while members of the European Union, such as Romania and Latvia, are still facing low vaccination rates and an increase in the number of deaths.

In this Thursday’s episode (28), Café da Manhã talks with the correspondent of sheet in Europe, Ana Estela de Sousa Pinto, on the rise in Covid-19 cases on the continent, the inequalities between countries in the region and how governments are dealing with the problem.

The audio program is published on Spotify, a partner streaming service for sheet in the initiative and which specializes in music, podcast and video. You can listen to the episode by clicking below. To access the app just register for free.
