The British Ministry of Defense notes in a recent update on developments in Ukrainian front that in the last 24 hours there has been no significant change in the situation of Russian forces in the occupied territories.
He added that the continuing shortages of supplies were exacerbated by the continuing lack of momentum and morale of the Russian army, as well as by the aggressive resistance of the Ukrainians.
It is noted that the Russia has gained most ground in the south, near Mariupol, where heavy fighting continues as Russia attempts to seize the port.
In the night briefing, the Ministry of Defense in London stated that the Russia maintains the long-term blockade of Ukraine on the Black Sea, effectively cutting off the country from international maritime trade.
At the same time, sporadic missile attacks on targets in Ukrainian territory by the Russian naval forces were pointed out.
The ministry said the destruction of the Russian Saratov landing craft in Berdyansk was likely to undermine the Russian navy’s confidence in conducting future operations near the Ukrainian coast.
