Since Donald Trump He entered the political scene, the polls agreed firmly at one point: his ability to project the image of a strong man capable of imposing his agenda. Last year was no exception. When Gallup asked voters about the power of candidates, 65% of the independent considered Trump strong, compared to just 42% he said about his opponent, Kamala Harris.

In the eyes of voters, Trump was considered less moral, less reliable and even less like his opponent. But he had courage, he had the power to promote his proposals. And for many, this was enough to win their vote – especially among those who were willing to overthrow the system.

To maintain this image of the powerful man, Trump is based on the beginning on the same tactic: attack and ridicule. He behaves like the school’s bully …. The child who does not care if he is liked because he knows he can get what he wants through fear and insults, overwhelming the weakest.

During the last campaign, he reached the point of calling irregular immigrants “animals”. He has also given his opponents countless derogatory nicknames. There is even an entry in the Wikipedia which lists the names it has devised, which now exceed 100.

With these characterizations, his goal is not only to polarize, but to “eliminate” all kinds of humanity, creating a simpler, more instinctive gap “We against them.”

In addition, his aggressive style enhances the image of a man who has come to overthrow the existing class, a key element of his narrative. That is why he never retreats, he never retires from his mission to crush his opponents and some social groups.

‘Rain’ threats and insults

Trump considers threats, contempt, and intimidation as tools of negotiation, both in domestic and foreign policy. The clearest example of this is the use of duties to push Mexico and Canada to adopt specific border security measures.

Donald Trump

However, his “repertoire” is threatened to extend far beyond that. He often talks about expanding US territory, underestimating countries such as Canada, Denmark and Panama. It also regularly targets immigrants without papers and judges, sometimes resorting to overt insults.

Targeting political opponents

One of Trump’s favorite ways to enforce his power is to ridicule his political opponents. Since the Democrats still do not have a clear, unquestionable national leader, Trump continues to turn much of his criticism of Joe Biden, who left the White House with low popularity rates.

According to a NBC study, during the first 100 days of his term, Trump reported Biden – his family or presidency – 580 times in social media posts and public statements, an average of six times a day!

He also found time to attack other personalities, often without naming them directly or referring to their positions. Ridicule serves as a strategy to raise himself above his goals and to enhance the image that he is the most powerful player in the arena.

Reprimands in the Oval Office

Foreign leaders are in danger of becoming the target of public reprimands in the Oval Office if they do not comply with Trump’s requirements. It seems to enjoy being particularly reprimanded by those who are in a weaker or dependent position, such as Ukraine and South Africa.

And Trump doesn’t always do it on his own. In the case of Ukraine, he was accompanied by Vice President JD Vance, while in the case of South Africa, he was the billionaire Ilon Mask – and with him quarreled – who stood by his side.

The “attack” on vulnerable groups

Trump tends to attack vulnerable groups to get a political gain or to present them as examples of what can happen to those who do not go with his … waters.

During the election campaign, he targeted transsexuals in an advertising against Kamala Harris. More than 250 immigrants have been deported and held in a prison in El Salvador without the legal procedure being followed, and the president later warned that he would consider the possibility of doing so with American citizens.

The ‘viral’ expansions of immigrants

89% of voters who regarded immigration as the most important issue in the United States chose Trump in the 2024 elections. For this reason, one of his main goals is to promote power against immigrants without papers, and both the president and the social media accounts.

They create original content in order to make the news of the deportations become “viral”. They post videos of security patrols or arrests with modern music, images created by artificial intelligence and inspired by dramatic photographs of immigrants and more.
