The Iranian Armed Forces have announced that they have hit the al -Unded base in Qatar with a “strong and strong” missile attack as part of a military operation, according to an official announcement.
The main US base in Qatar, Al Undeded Air Base, which operates as a promoted US Central Command headquarters, hosts about 10,000 military and civilian staff.
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said the attack was carried out with the same number of bombs previously used by the United States against Iranian nuclear facilities. At the same time, he underlined that the basis of the hit is “away from urban installations and residential areas” in Qatar and assured the Doha government that this action “is not a threat to our friendly and brother Qatar”.

The Qatar Ministry of Defense announced that its airline systems had successfully intercepted rockets targeted by Al -Unded Air Base, and Al Arabiya reported that 9 of the 10 rockets were intercepted and one fell into an open area
In a statement, the ministry added that there were no reports of deaths or injuries, attributing this “to the vigilance of the Armed Forces and to the precautionary measures taken”.
The ministry assured people that the airspace and the ground of Qatar remain safe and that its armed forces are fully prepared to face any threat.
The attack is in a climate of increased tension, as Iran had threatened with retaliation for US blows in its underground nuclear facilities. Qatar had previously temporarily closed its airspace for security reasons, and explosions had been heard over the capital Doha.
According to Reuters news agency, Iran informed the United States through two diplomatic channels, just hours before launching its attacks on US bases in Qatar, while also informing Doha.
No loss was reported by the US after the Iranian attack with short and medium -sized missiles against the al -Udide base in Qatar, two US officials said.
At the same time, no other Iranian attack on US bases besides in Qatar was recorded, according to a US military source he spoke to Reuters.
