THE Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich is present at peace talks between Of Ukraine and Russia ongoing in Turkey.
Turkish media broadcast pictures of Abramovich to sit next to Erdogan’s right hand, Ibrahim Kalin at the negotiating table between the envoys Kiev and Moscow.
The Sky Newsquoting three different sources earlier, said that the owner of Chelsea, one of the Russians who have been sanctioned by the West after the invasion of Ukraine, viewed together with the delegations Kiev and Moscow in Istanbul.

The Kremlin confirmed in recent days that Abramovich had played a role in the first conversations Russia – Ukraine, but now the process is in the hands of the negotiating teams.
It is worth noting that just yesterday the Wall Street Journal revealed that the Abramovich and two Ukrainian negotiators appeared symptoms of poisoning after a meeting in Kyiv. The Russian oligarch’s spokesman confirmed that he had symptoms. A U.S. official, however, said he was confident the symptoms were due to an environmental factor, not poisoning.
