The two leaders discussed the Iran -Israel and Ukraine conflict. This is their first communication since September 2022.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said telephone communication lasted more than two hours, according to Reuters.

According to Kremlin’s announcements, the Russian president reminded his European counterpart that the conflict in Ukraine is a consequence of Western policy.
As the Kremlin Press Office also said, Putin reiterated that Western politics “ignored Russia’s concerns” in previous years. Any peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine should be “overall and long -term”, eliminate the essential causes of the crisis and rely on “new territorial realities”, the Kremlin added.

The two leaders, who, according to the Champs Elysians, had not spoken since September 2022, also discussed the Iran issue.
During Tuesday’s telephone communication, Macron’s office said that “the president emphasized France’s steadfast support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
