The explosion of the 1,584-meter-high Levotobi Lacobobi-Lacobi volcano, located on the tourist island of Flores, began at 11:05 local time (06:05 Greek time), according to a statement from the Indonesian volcanic service.
“There was an explosion of the volcano Lvotobi Laki-Llaki (…), launching ash that was observed about 18,000 meters above the top,” the service said.

No victims or damage have been reported at present. In addition, no flight cancellations have been announced.
Bali International Airport continues to operate normally despite the volcanic eruption, an AFP employee of the Customer Service of the Injourney Airports Airport Management Agency.
