The devastating floods that swept Texas left behind a hundred dead, including dozens of children, according to newer reports of the victims announced today, Tuesday, by local authorities.

The Kerr County, who suffered the heaviest blow, counts 87 victims, including 31 children. Overall, in the central part of the state, deaths are 107 so far, as reported by the BBC.

US President Donald Trump has said he will go on Friday with First Lady, Melania Trump in the affected area.

Meanwhile, search and rescue groups are continuing investigations, for the fifth day for dozens of people still missing, authorities said.

Camp Mystic, a summer camp in the county, confirmed that at least 27 girls and staff were among the dead, with 10 children and one consultant still missing.

At the same time, weather conditions are projected to improve a little on Tuesday after days of continuing rainfall and warnings for new floods.

It is noted that residents in the area complained over the weekend that they were not warned as early as it should be for the risk of flooding.
