OR financial pressure and the accuracy They seem to be deprived of the majority of the Italians the opportunity for summer holidays, with many even resorting to the “interruptions” solution. The picture carried by the newspaper * La Nazione * is revealing: Six out of ten Italians say they do not have the financial means to escape even for a few days of their daily lives.
They postponed the plans because of prices
The explosive increase in prices in food, accommodation and travel makes a holiday week for many families. A simple package of accommodation and food touches the 900 euros per week, while the umbrella rental and two sun beds on the beaches this year arrives 220 eurosbased on elements of the Altroconsumo Consumer Union.
Most people choose, necessarily, short holidays And almost always in Italy – 93% as a destination, when only 7% prefer overseas, with basic choices in Greece, Spain and France.
“Travel”: The new reality
With wages stable and the cost of living rising sharply, the Italians adopt a more realistic attitude, limiting their expectations for travel and relaxation. Appeal to “Travel” is rising this year: 220 million euros have already been given for vacation service, with average borrowing in 5.500 euros and repayment in four years.
A four -member family who wants to spend two weeks at sea will be needed, according to estimates, up to 6.500 euros. The amount, quite high for the average Italian family, while unexpected expenses – well known from our daily lives – make savings even more difficult.
At the same time, train tickets increased by 10% and airplanes for European destinations by 14% compared to last year. So there are a few who choose alternative, more economical destinations this year, looking for a bit of a “breath” either in the nearby mountain villages of Kastelli outside Rome or in the coastal areas of Ostia and Frezane, favorite places *Federico.
