Donald Trump announced in a post on Truth Social that he will sign a Presidential Decree with the aim of abolishing letter voting and counting machines, a move that will almost of course cause immediate judicial appeals.

The president wrote that he intends to “lead a movement for the abolition of letter voting” and counting machines.

“We will begin this effort, which will encounter a reaction from Democrats because they are distorted at levels we have never seen before, signing an executive order to bring in the midst of the 2026 intermediate elections,” he noted.

The president also claimed that the states were “just a” representative “of the federal government in counting and recording votes.

“They must do what the federal government is telling them, as represented by the President of the United States, for the good of our country,” he wrote.

The Constitution, however, notes the NBC, gives the states and not the federal government the power to manage the Congress elections.

For years, Trump has made claims on mass electoral fraud, reiterating that he has won the 2020 elections.
