Russia’s bombardment of the southern Ukrainian port of Mariupol has caused at least $ 10 billion in infrastructure damage, according to a preliminary estimate by local authorities.
“Every crime, every murder and destructive act committed by the invader must be recorded and brought before the International Court of Justice,” said city councilor Vadim Boichenko.
According to him, a special committee of advisers will undertake to record such actions.
It is recalled that earlier, he denounced the bombing of a hospital and the destruction of an oncology unit by a Russian bombing the mayor of Chernihiv Vladislav Atroshenko.
“Several bombs hit the hospital and caused extensive damage, but in particular the oncology unit was completely destroyed.”said Atroshenko, adding that three people were seriously injured.
The mayor of Chernihiv reiterated that his city has no water or electricity, and stocks of food and medicine will last at most another week. “The only supplies come from the army and volunteers”he added, capturing the dramatic moments experienced by the residents of the martyred Ukrainian city.
“As of today, we are heading for a great humanitarian catastrophe”, stressed Atroshenko. In fact, he suffers from pneumonia, but said he hopes to get well.
