The leader of an opposition party in Israel appealed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tonight and the leaders of two other opposition parties to form a temporary government to achieve the liberalization of all hostages from the Gaza Strip.

After leaving the government coalition the lucrative parties in July, Netanyahu no longer has an absolute majority in Knesset and depends on his far -right allies, who deny any agreement with Hamas and are in favor of his continuation.

“I call Netanyahu, Yair Lapid and Avigdor Lieberman. It is time to form a government acquisition of prisoners, “said Benny Gads, the head of the Center -Right National Union, referring to the liberation of fifty hostages, living or dead, still in the Palestinian enclave.

Lapid, the leader of the largest opposition party, Central GSE Etid (“There is a Future”), has 24 MPs in Parliament. Lieberman, of the Nationalist Party of Israel Beitin (“Israel is our home”) has eight seats, as Gads. Together with the 32 MPs of the right -wing Likund party of Netanyahu, the three parties could form a coalition government with a majority of 72 seats in the 120 -member Knesset.

“The duty of our state is above all to save the lives of Jews and all citizens. Every hostage that is at risk of dying could be our son, your daughter, “Gads said in a press conference he gave.

At the same time, tens of thousands of Israelis were demonstrating, as they do every Saturday night, in Israel, expressing their support for the hostages and asking the government to end the war with Hamas.

The Palestinian organization agreed Monday to the proposal of the mediators, according to Palestinian sources, 60 days during which the hostages abducted on October 7, 2023 and remain in Gaza will be released in two phases in return for the release. On Thursday night, Netanyahu announced that he had ordered negotiations immediately to launch all hostages and ending the war “under the terms of Israel”, without making any reference to the proposal of the US and Egyptian countries.
