Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said on Wednesday that it is time to organize leaders’ level discussions on key priorities and timetables for security guarantees for Ukraine.
Zelenski notes that he had contacted Finland President Alexander Stubb, who discussed the preparation of the groups of Europeans, Americans and other partners in his country involved in the “alliance of the willingness” of the Architectural and Polymer Security Guarantees.
“Military commanders, defense ministers and security consultants – at different levels, are preparing the parameters of future security. We accelerate the process of defining the details. It is already time to organize the form of leaders’ discussions to determine the key priorities and timetables, “Zelenski wrote on the social networking platform X on Wednesday.
The Ukrainian president added that “one important sector is relations with the United States, and ensuring the substance of these relationships.” He added, “unfortunately, the Russians are currently sending negative messages about meetings and further developments.”
He stressed that Russian attacks on the cities and villages of Ukraine are continuing and there are new victims every day. “The Russians will only react to real pressure in response to all this. Pressure is required. We rely on it. Specific steps from Russia – steps to real diplomacy are needed, “the Ukrainian president said.
In closing, Zelenski thanked Stubb for his constructive approach and advice and invited the Finnish president to Kiev.
