US President Donald Trump has been digitally participated in a debate in US and European officials on measures, which may push Brussels to announce additional customs duties of 50% to 100% in products imported from China and China.

“We are ready to start, ready to start now, but we will only do so if our European partners support us with us.”said one US official.

A second US official said Washington is ready to ‘Copy’ Any duties imposed by the EU in China and India, leading to a further increase in US duties on imports from both countries.

Trump’s proposal comes amid frustration within the White House for the difficulty of reaching a peacekeeping agreement and Russia’s increasingly aggressive air attacks in Ukraine.
