Council members stressed that “The liberation of hostages, including those killed by Hamas, as well as the end of war and the sake of Gaza, must remain a top priority.”. In this light, “They reiterated the importance of the ongoing diplomatic efforts of Qatar, Egypt and the United States” and called “the parties to take the opportunity for peace”.
