Anna-Maria Halatseva, a doctoral student at the Institute of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) at the University of Sofia St. Kliment Ohridski, recognized by the European Commission as one of the models of successful young Europeans, the Ministry of Education and Sciences said.
The talented researcher was presented in the strategy document entitled “From Promise to Progress: First Year of Treatment”, which accompanies the annual speech by European Commission President Ursula von der Layen on the situation of the Union, which was spoken on Wednesday. Bulgaria is between few countries, such as Romania, Poland and the Czech Republic, which are distinguished for their talented young scientists.
Halatseva is the recipient of the recognized Google Deepmind scholarship and was included in the “30 Under 30” list of Forbes Bulgaria (2024).
According to the document, “he is investigating three -dimensional computer vision and robotics to promote autonomous systems”, adopting an open, collaborative approach to scientific research. “
The success of young researchers is supported by the creation of the right environment and investing in programs, such as Insait, which, together with the Sofia Technology Park, has secured funding of 90m euros from the EU for the construction of an artificial intelligence unit.
