Norwegian police announced that seized yesterday, 24/9, an unmanned aircraft (drone) which one handled one foreign close to Oslo International Airportin a context of multiplication of such events in Scandinavian countries.
Man, about 50 years old, was flying his drone into a banned zone without this affecting aerial traffic, he told French agency Lisa Marie LockeHead of the Department of persecution of the Regional Police.
The man was not arrested, but was arrested by the police, Locke noted, not wanting to clarify exactly what his nationality is.
‘Yesterday, around 21:00 [22:00 ώρα Ελλάδας]Police were informed that a drone had infiltrated the Oslo Airport Prohibition Zone, “Locke explained.
“When police went to the spot, they found a man about 50 years old who handled the drone,” he said, adding that the police made him land and seized it.
This episode occurred after possible observation of drones that influenced the Air traffic at Danish airportsmainly in Copenhagen, as well as at Oslo Airport, this week.
“At the moment we do not see a link between the two events,” Locke said.
On Monday night to Tuesday, air traffic at Oslo Airport suspended for about three hours after notice for a possible drone presence.
Locke clarified today that these were lights observed in the air and that verifications were ongoing to determine whether it was really a drone.
