A “shallow grave” containing the bodies of four people, three of them members of a family, was seen up close by a BBC reporter in the village of Motizin on the outskirts of Kiev.

The BBC has confirmed that one of the bodies belongs to 51-year-old mayor Olga Sonenko. Her husband Igor and their 28-year-old son Alexander were buried with her. The family was abducted by Russian soldiers ten days ago, according to the mayor of the neighboring city of Makariv. The fourth body has not been identified.

At first the soldiers only wanted to take the mayor, but her husband insisted on going with her. Six hours later they returned for the son.

The BBC correspondent in the Yogita Port area also reported that she saw with her own eyes five dead men in civilian clothes and tied to a pole being shot in the basement of a house in Bouka.

The new testimonies come a few hours after a report by the experienced BBC correspondent Jeremy Bowen from Bouka and Irpin, from where, in addition to the images with the corpses on the streets that have now traveled around the world, she also presented her heartbreaking story. Irina, whose son Oleksay was killed by Russian soldiers on March 10.

Crying, alone in her ruined house in the village of Kalinivka, she showed the camera the photo of her child and the place where she was buried in her garden after transporting him in a wheelchair from the road where she died near the car repair shop where she worked. Her case provoked the mobilization of Doctors Without Borders who will provide assistance.

When asked by a British network reporter to President Zelensky during his visit to Buka if a peace with Russia is possible after these atrocities, he answered in the affirmative. “Yes, because Ukraine must have peace. We are in Europe in the 21st century. “We will continue our efforts diplomatically and militarily,” Zelenski said.

The BBC also reports that the British government will announce newer sanctions against Russian interests this week.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will receive Polish President Andrea Duda and German Chancellor Olaf Solz on Downing Street later this week.
