The Taliban claims that Pakistan violated Afghanistan’s airspace and bombed an area near the border.
Earlier, an explosion was heard in the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, with the Taliban government confirming an investigation.
Zambihulah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Islamic Emirates, said no details have been made public about victims or damage. The event is surrounded by conflicting information, India Today notes. Some media claimed that Pakistan was aimed at Nour Wali Massoud, leader of Pakistani Taliban (TTP). However, Tolo News received a sound message attributed to Masund, in which he “rejects the allegations that he was attacked by him in Kabul”.
Taliban officials and some Afghan journalists are also alleged to have denying an airline by Pakistan. The time of the incident is considered important, as Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi is in India for a scheduled meeting with India Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaisankar.
