The new head of US military administration for the Middle East (Centcom), Brad Cooperhe announced today that he went to Gaza to discuss the “stabilization” of the situation, assuring that no US soldier would develop in the Palestinian enclave.
Admiral Brad Cooper said to X that he was returning from a visit to Gaza to discuss the creation of a “political-military coordinating center” under the administration of Centcom, which “will help” stabilize the situation.
A first group of 200 US troops is expected to go to Israel to help surveillance a ceasefire in Gaza between Hamas and Israel, as provided by President Donald Trump’s peace plan.
“The sons and daughters of America respond to the call for the consolidation of peace in the Middle East as part of the support of the Directives of the General Staff at this historic moment,” Brad Cooper, who took over the CentCom in August.
“This great effort will take place without the presence of troops in Gaza,” he said.
