The truce agreement seems to be tested, as Israel responds with the closure of Rafa’s passage and the restriction of humanitarian aid, following Hamas ‘decision not to hand over all hostages’ bodies, as planned.

In particular, Israel will not open Rafa’s passage tomorrow, despite forecasts of the truce agreement, according to three Israeli officials citing the Reuters agency.

The same sources say that Israel will also limit the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as part of these measures.

The decision was made, according to Israeli officials, following the refusal of the Palestinian organization Hamas to deliver the bodies of hostages, as provided by the new ceasefire agreement with the US mediation. Officials did not specify how long the measure would last.

Meanwhile, according to Qatar’s Al Araby network, citing Israeli media, Egyptian groups are in Gaza and assist in the efforts to identify and retrieve the bodies of the dead hostages.

According to the same report, Israeli teams work with Egyptian officials to resolve the issue.

However, earlier on Tuesday, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) warned that it would take time to return the hostages of hostages abducted by Hamas fighters in Gaza, pointing out the difficulties in the enclave to identify them under the ruins.

Red Cross spokesman Christian Cardon told Reuters that this venture is an even greater challenge than the liberation of the living hostages. In fact, he warned that the process of returning the corpses can take days or even weeks, and some bodies may never be found.

A video shot in the morning at the Kissoufim crossing at the Gaza -Israel border showed Red Cross vehicles awaiting the approval of the Israeli side. Shortly thereafter, vehicles carrying the Palestinians were recorded inside Gaza, on the way to the Nasser Medical Complex in Han Younis.

In a statement, the Red Cross said he was still working to facilitate the transfer of corpses between Israel and Gaza, including the Palestinian bodies held by Israel during the war.

The organization called on all sides and mediators “to ensure that the agreement is true”, calling for “dignity to adhere to the management of the dead”.

“Families who mourn the loss of their loved ones have already suffered unthinkable pain. All sides must ensure that the return of the corpses will be done in decent conditions, with respect to human dignity and humanity, “the ICRC’s statement said on Tuesday.

For his part, the Gaza Ministry of Health said he was ready to “pick up the corpses of the witnesses” expected by the Israeli authorities, without clarifying their deaths.
