Russian missile and drone attacks launched Saturday night in Ukraine caused death at least three people and the injury of several others, according to a more recent report from local authorities.

“One rescuer was killed and another injured after repeated rocket strikes in Petropavlivska commune of Dnipropetrovsk region”in the central-eastern part of the country, the interior ministry said on social media.

In the same area, “another woman was killed and seven people were injured,” the ministry said, noting that “damage was caused to fire trucks, apartment buildings and shops.”

Moscow also targeted the capital Kyiv with nighttime attacks, damaging buildings and homes in several districts and injuring at least eight people.

“Explosions in the capital. The city is under ballistic attack. Stay in the shelters!”, the capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, said via Telegram, referring to “eight wounded” of whom three were taken to hospital.

Large fires broke out in the districts of Desnyanski and Darnitski, without any damage to houses, he explained.

Russia launched against Ukraine “nine Iskander-M ballistic missiles” and “64 attack drones” as well as other types, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, which said it destroyed 50 drones and four missiles.
