Biden fires new shots at Putin: Russia’s attack on Kramatorsk “horrible atrocity”

by

THE US President Joe Biden accused Russia of committing a “horrible atrocity” today after the death of at least 50 people, including five children, in bombing of Kramatorsk railway station in eastern Ukraine.

“The attack on a train station is another horrific atrocity committed by Russia, targeting civilians trying to leave the area and go to a place that would be safe.”wrote in a message on Twitter.

Alongside, US Senior Defense Officer stated that the US believes that Russia used a short-range missile today to hit a train station in eastern Ukraine.

The official, who asked not to be named, said an SS-21 missile was used by Russia in Kramatorsk but the motive of the Russians was unclear.

“We do not believe the Russians’s denial that they are not responsible” for that, the official said. Russia denies targeting civilians.

Agence France-Presse reporters at the scene saw at least 30 bodies in morgue bags or under tarpaulins in front of the station.

THE Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced an “evil without limits” unleashed by Russia and “inhuman” methods.

THE Moscow has denied responsibility for the bombingstating that he does not have the type of missile that was allegedly used and denouncing “provocations” of the Ukrainians.

Kramatorsk is located on the Ukrainian side of Donbas, which is under Ukrainian control. The rest of the region has been controlled by pro-Russian separatists since 2014, and Moscow has made it its primary goal to occupy the region, following the withdrawal of its forces from the Kiev region and northern Ukraine.

In this new phase of the conflict, Kyiv will have an S-300 anti-aircraft defense system provided by the Slovak government, a supply for which Joe Biden thanked Bratislava.
