The timeline of the attack
New York police were alerted after shots were fired in Brooklyn on Tuesday.

The suspect was reportedly wearing an asphyxiating mask, dressed in black, wearing an orange vest and carrying a toolbox.
The incident took place at the metro station at the junction of 4th Avenue and 36th Street Station.
