In the cathedral of Agios Vladimiros in the center of the capital, under the fear of a new attack, dozens of believers have come early in the morning, excitedly bowing to the icons and lighting candles.
“It’s difficult for us, of course. It is a war and we are very scared of what is happening in other cities of the country. “Now it is easier to stay (in Kyiv) if you go to church,” said another resident.
“It’s exactly one week before Easter. War can start when people do not talk to me and do not build relationships. “Here in the church, people learn how to build a relationship with God and with each other, and I think that is the most powerful weapon against war,” describes another resident.
