Doctor in Italy: “I treat the vaccinated but then they have to change doctors”

by

The statement of the family doctor Amedeo Giorgetti, who works for the national health system of the country, has caused a sensation in Italy.

In an interview with the Corriere della Sera newspaper, the Italian doctor, who lives and works in the greater Ancona area, said he was tired of trying to convince his vaccine patients that they needed to be protected from the coronavirus.

Georgetti explained that he would continue to treat his patients who were challenging the vaccines (with home monitoring when possible) but would then ask them to change doctors, to part ways permanently.

The beginning has already been made with a 55-year-old patient. Despite diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity, he did not want to be vaccinated. He became infected with coronavirus, and Amedeo Giorgetti helped him through the ordeal without being taken to hospital. But then she told him that it would be good for both of them to find another doctor. As it happened.

The doctor from Recanati in the Marche region, based in Ancona, has received thousands of messages from citizens agreeing with his decision, although many vaccine critics, as expected, disagree.

The sign, however, that he decided to post outside his office, clearly summarizes the whole philosophy of the Italian family doctor. In it, Amedeo Giorgetti explains:

“Dear patients. The coronavirus destroyed human and professional life in an unprecedented way. To date, the vaccine is the only weapon to keep us from getting sick. If you have any doubts or hesitations, I am at your disposal. “But if you believe that the vaccine is a dangerous weapon in the hands of the international pharmaceutical industry, with the complicity of family doctors, please change your doctor, because I do not accept these stupid and offensive accusations.”
