Railway stations and power substations near the Ukrainian city of Lviv are being attacked by the Russians, according to a CNN report.

According to the report, in the city of Lviv in western Ukraine many explosions were heard in the last hour while a statement of the Ukrainian railways stated that some trains have been immobilized around Lviv due to Russian attacks on railway power stations.

Some trains will be delayed, explaining that trains have been stopped at the entrance to Lviv.

The city mayor said parts of it were without electricity, explaining that as a result of the bombing, two electricity substations were damaged.

“Everyone stay in the shelters,” he told the Telegram in a brief post.

CNN reporters heard the blasts coming from east, south and west of the city center. One of the locations is close to the city center.

From another location, farther away, a huge column of black smoke seemed to rise in the sky.

Smoke continues to fall across the city, with the biggest fire burning west of the city center.

According to Ukrainian reports, Russian forces fired rockets at other parts of the country.

More specifically, two missiles hit targets southwest of the city of Vinnytsia, while missiles aimed at the Kiev region were intercepted by the Ukrainian anti-missile system.

A rocket-propelled grenade was also reported in the town of Dolinska in Kirovotad Oblast, without elaborating.

Russian forces also hit targets in the west, near the border with Slovakia, according to the commander of the Ukrainian army in the Zakarpattia region.
