No final agreement on 6th package of sanctions talks at Russia at the level of ambassadors of the Member States have been closed, but significant progress on most sanctions and talks will continue at all levels, according to EU sources.

Finally, it is recalled that the initial goal was for the 6th package of sanctions to enter into force on 9 May, something that does not seem to be achieved before the 10 May meeting of the Permanent Representatives of the EU Member States (COREPER).
