Horror at a school in Nicosia: They killed and hung kittens-They wrote with their blood on walls

by

The new incident causes horror and disgust animal abuse in Nicosia, with the Ecologists Movement talking about a “barbaric” act.

According to the Movement, strangers killed cat along with her little kittens and their blood, they wrote on walls.

The description of the complaint and the incident:

A complaint received by the Movement of Ecologists states that on 05/05/2022 at the Lyceum of Idali in the province of Nicosia, people spray-painted defenseless kittens and then used their blood to write on the walls

School staff and some children took care of the kitten in question, who was pregnant, and when she gave birth, they took care of Manuela and her three kittens.

This barbaric and heinous crime seems to have been committed by people who knew about the existence of the kitten and her cubs. The fact that the kittens were previously spray-painted shows a premeditated crime. The criminal act is being investigated by the Nicosia Animal Police.

An outbreak by the Ecologists’ Movement that demands immediate investigation

“As an Movement of Ecologists – Citizens’ Cooperation, we ask the competent authorities to fully investigate another tragic incident involving the killing of animals and to bring justice to those who tortured and killed them. We also call on anyone who knows anything about this case to immediately inform the Police.

Behavior of harming animals, whether it is a child or an adult, is a clinical symptom of specific mental disorders. It is also confirmed that people who learn to abuse animals from an early age then later as adults, will show some form of interpersonal violence. Conversely, children who learn to care for animals are more likely to develop compassion and empathy for others.

It is the duty of the family and the state, through schools, to cultivate respect for animals. We emphasize once again the need to include short-term hospitality lectures in schools. “These atrocities against animals must finally stop. “If we want to be called a civilized people, we must respect every form of life and especially animals”, stressed the coordinator of the Action Group for Animals of the Ecologists ‘Movement – Citizens’ Cooperation, Ms. Anthi Mouzouri.

“As an Movement of Ecologists – Citizens’ Cooperation, we will follow the case until it is clarified and justice is served”, the Movement states in an announcement.
