An accident in which a 27-year-old contract dean died in the Kornou camp National Guard, in Cyprus.
According to a relevant announcement Ministry of Defense of Cyprusin the context of training driving that took place inside a camp of the National Guard, an accident occurred resulting in the serious injury of 27-year-old Dean of SYOP Natalie Neophytou.
During the training, under conditions being investigated, at 11:00 am The jeep type vehicle in which SYOP was riding along with a probationary reserve officer and a hoplite draw was overturned. The 27-year-old was rushed to the Nicosia General Hospital where, despite the efforts of doctors, she could not be kept alive.
The conscript hoplite, as well as the probationary reserve officer were transported to Larnaca General Hospital, where they received first aid and left without any serious injuries.
An investigation was ordered to determine the causes of the accident. The scene of the accident has been ruled out and the assistance of the Police has been requested for the investigation of the incident.
THE Minister of Defense Charalambos Petridis expressed sincere condolences to the family and relatives of SYOP.
