The new TRENOSE route from Athens to Thessaloniki starts in a few hours, in the context of the total restructuring on all routes in the territory.
According to TRAINOSE, from Sunday (15/5) there will be a new itinerary, while new trains will be added. One of the changes includes the 7 pairs of itineraries that will make the route Athens-Thessaloniki.
On the Athens-Thessaloniki route, the travel times are modified and from 5 pairs of trains that circulated per day, they increase to 7 (every 2 hours per direction), with reduced travel times.
Also, from tomorrow at 7:20 in the morning, the new fast ETR trains will be launched, which will cover the route in less than 4 hours.

- On the route Athens-Kalampaka: the times of the itineraries are modified.
- On the routes of the Athens Suburban Railway (Airport-Kiato-Piraeus-Athens-Chalkida): there are small modifications in the times of the itineraries.
- On the routes Athens-Leianokladi & Leianokladi-Lamia-Stylida: the times of the itineraries are modified.
- New routes are added: Tithorea-Oinoi (bus), Tithorea-Leianokladi-Lamia-Stylida and Leianokladi-Lamia (for transfer service from / to IC Athens-Thessaloniki-Athens routes).
- On the routes of Central Greece, Thessaloniki-Larissa-Paleofarsalos-Kalampaka & Larissa-Volos: significant changes are taking place.
- On the route Thessaloniki-Edessa-Florina: the times of the itineraries are modified and 1 pair of itineraries circulates on the route Thessaloniki-Edessa-Thessaloniki.
- On the routes Thessaloniki-Serres & Thessaloniki-Drama: the times of the itineraries are modified.
- The route Drama-Alexandroupolis is abolished while new connections are added between Drama-Xanthi-Komotini-Alexandroupolis.
- On the route Alexandroupoli-Ormenio: the times of the itineraries are modified and 1 pair of itineraries circulates on the route Alexandroupoli-Orestiada.
- The itineraries of the tourist routes Diakopto-Kalavrita, Ano Lechonia-Milies, Katakolo-Pyrgos-Olympia, are not modified.
- The itineraries of the routes Kiato-Patra, Kiato-Aigio & Suburban Patras, are not modified.
