The family’s three-year-old dog was attacked by a 5-year-old from Missouri, USA, while they were sitting on the bed and watching a Disney movie.
The incident happened on January 8 and as the parents described, they suddenly heard screams from the little boy’s room.
“We ran there and we had to get Marley out of it. “She did not stop, she was really angry”, said the mother of the 5-year-old.
“He was on Bradley and we could not see him. Christopher pulled her and Bradley was lying with his face together. “It had cut his cheek, it was a crazy night.”
The mother revealed that the right side of Bradley’s face was left hanging after the wild attack by the three-year-old dog, while due to the rupture of the ligaments, this side is paralyzed, as a result of which the little one can not even smile.
“He was completely torn, his teeth were visible through his cheek. “There was blood everywhere, on Marley and in bed,” the mother added.
She said she did not know how the attack happened as she described Marley as “the sweetest” dog, adding that she was “so protective”.
The 7-year-old underwent surgery for three hours, while according to his mother he will need several more in the future. “She needs more surgery because she can not smile. His mouth was half full so they had to reconnect the corners of his mouth. “He can not smile, it is as if one side of his face is paralyzed, but the scars are not ugly.”
The little boy insisted that the dog did not want to attack him, but the family was forced to euthanize her.
Bradley stayed in the hospital for a week and the cost of his treatment is $ 16,000.
