«It is very unfortunate that gas supplies under our supply contract will stop now“, Said in an announcement o Gasum CEO Mika Villianen.
«However, we have been meticulously preparing for this situation and we have provided that in order to avoid interruptions in the gas transmission network, we will be able to supply all our customers with gas in the coming months.“, he said.
The outage is scheduled to take place at 04:00 (Greenwich Mean Time, 07:00 Greek time) on May 21st.
Gasum has said it will continue to supply gas to Finnish consumers from other sources via the Balticonnector pipeline connecting Finland to Estonia.
Gasum had warned the day before yesterday, Wednesday, that Russia could cut off gas supplies due to the dispute over payment in rubles.
